The Wellness Diaries: Am I Developing Allergies?

As of the last 2 weeks, I’ve been getting these strange skin irritations on my neck and face after I eat. They last for about 3 hours. Cold temperatures help them subside but they’re absolutely mortifying. My doctor gave me a cream to help constrict the blood vessels and it helps but it’s not something I want to be using every day (especially at $140 a bottle of 40 mls) for the rest of my life. There must be a specific reason this is happening, no?

I’ve been toying with the idea of gluten or acidic foods being a trigger, but even when I try and eat a specific diet I still have these awful splotchy red marks all along my face and decolletage, enticing I know. People keep insisting my anxiety is playing a big role in it and I’m sure it is but when I’m at home eating watching tv and have tomorrow off should I really be breaking out like this?

I’ve decided to document this journey because in all honesty I’m frustrated and I’m sure someone else has dealt with something similar.

I’m grasping at straws. I’m hoping to see a naturopath and get some blood work done to see if they can identify any allergies I’m unaware of. (right now I have no food allergies)

Please feel free to share your ideas with me.

Oh that’s awful 🙁 I’m so sorry and hope you find an answer quickly! I actually developed psoriasis one day when I was like 28? And I went to three doctors before a dermatologist took a sample (cut off my skin lol) and did a lab on it. I luckily got a more rare kind that isn’t all the time, but mine was definitely brought on my stress. Good luck!
