How’s This Never Been Written: Ultimate Dupe!

Feature image Pixi and polish banner

I have looked high and low for a suitable dupe for one product, just one. The dupes I’ve found for this product are weak in comparison. I’m honestly shocked that nobody has ever written this article.

Let’s talk about Kate Somerville and her ExfoliKate® Intense Exfoliator, this product has received praise time and time again from countless celebrities, there’s only one problem. The problem with this product is the price.

The 15 mL is $29.00 and the 60 mL is $102.00. For an everyday person, this is pretty expensive. So what’s a person to do when they want high-quality skincare but can’t afford using it regularly? You find an interchangeable product, that’s where we come in.

I have what you’ve been looking for, a dupe for the famous…

I know right ?!
How hasn’t anybody found a suitable dupe for one of Hollywood’s most famous products?
Well, I have and it’s Pixi’s Peel & Polish 6% Lactic Acid Papaya Resurfacing Concentrate! [we’ve done a full review]

Pixi and somerville Texture compare

Let’s take a look at texture alone… so similar, nearly identical. Do you see what I’m talking about! Other than the colors even the textures are similar. Let’s take a look at the instructions for each product.

ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment Instructions

AM or PM. Use once or twice a week. Apply a thin, even layer to a clean, wet face, massaging in a circular motion for 30 seconds. Leave on for up to 2 minutes. Rinse and gently pat dry. This product may cause the skin to tingle and flush slightly for a short time. For sensitive skin, leave on for less than 1 minute, or use ExfoliKate® Gentle instead.

Pixi Peel & Polish Instructions

• Use: 2-3 times per week in the AM or PM
• Step 1: Apply to dry face and neck
• Step 2: Leave for 2 minutes to let the enzymes activate
• Step 3: Rinse off and pat dry
• Step 4: For a more intense polish effect; using your fingertips, gently massage face and neck in a circular motion

…. Do you see what I see? Nearly identical instructions, because the products are SO SIMILAR. The only difference in terms of results that I could find between these two products was the Eradikate product was slightly stronger, and the grains were minutely smaller. Apart from this small difference, both products gave the same result.

I want to show you the Pixi Concentrate in ACTION!

Pixi Mask Before and During

Pixi Mask Washing
Adding water and washing the treatment off in circular motions
Pixi Mask after
a slight rosiness to the skin is normal it should subside in approx. 20 minutes

I’m so proud that I finally found a suitable dupe, oh happy day!

Patting my back,

Hi! I appreciate this. I love this product, but so small of a tube for the price. Have you found an alternative to Kate Somerville Exfolikate Glow Moisturizer?

There’s lots of really great brightening creams out there!
One of my favorites is Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, but it’s quite similar in price to Kate Somerville. If you’re looking for something less expensive you can look at the following, Ren Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel-Cream or Fresh Vitamin C Glow Moisturizer. Any cream with vitamin C will help with brightening like the Exfolikate moisturizer does. I hope this helped!
