No Bare Lips November: Day 02 !

Ladies and gentlemen ! Today is day 2 of NBLN and because I have been sick and didn’t want to put you through having to listen to my raspy voice and my constant sniffles I have resorted to this article! Something I love to do when I am feeling sick, which many people like to do when they need a little pampering, is apply a mask; whether it be a face-mask, hair-mask etc… However, the one mask I have never tried is a lip mask (crazy I know). After going in search of a lip mask I came back with a couple of different options. Todays lip-mask is from the Korean brand LANEIGE. After going…

Screen Time !

I love writing; I love being able to read the words someone deliberately has chosen to express themselves. It feels like an open door into their thoughts. Their brain: an open office, filing through their opinions and desires. But here’s the thing… someone’s thoughts don’t always fully express their enthusiasm. You can paint a picture of what you experience and see but it’s always different when you see it with your own two eyes. Imagining is nice but seeing can be better. Everyone’s different and those who are visual learners and prefer to see rather than read would probably prefer some good old videos! Screen time baby, I have started a YouTube channel. It feels…

Vlogs: What do you want ?

This week has been a very active week for me! I’ve had pleasant amount of energy even though I feel as though my sleeps have been restless and the gears of brain have been turning. I keep thinking of beauty reviews and how I don’t think they’re as great as they could be. I feel as though you all deserve something better, you deserve to see how the product works. Does it slide, glide, or …. goop? What is the texture like? If the mask dries how does it dry? Is it buildable? So many questions, so many characters in every paragraph when it’s text. I want you to hear my voice and see my…

Review: Wildcraft BUFF

Recently on a trip to Toronto I stopped by into DETOX Market, slightly overpriced but a fun place to check out. Whilst there I realized My Tatcha Rice Enzyme scrub had run out and so I wanted to find a slightly less expensive version that gave similar results. So let us see how the Wildcraft Buff scrub did, shall we!?   The Promise: “Clean and smooth your skin with this invigorating, mineral rich exfoliant for the face and  body. The healing ingredients gently remove dull skin and dry out blemishes so your natural beauty can shine through. Leaves skin feeling refreshed, soft and polished.”   Results: This scrub is a lot coarser than I thought it would…

Current Favourite Beauty Etceteras

I don’t have a lot of time to get ready in the morning . I value my sleep and insist on snoozing 4 times before I finally “really open my eyes”. I don’t have loads of money, I like my product to be worth the dollar dollar bills (ya’ll) that I spend on them. Also, can we talk about coming home and not wanting to fuss with loads of extras. You want to feel pampered without over spending and you want products that work. HELLO ?! I totally understand ! Here some of my favourite etceteras. Skincare and beauty extras that help the normal woman. The woman who doesn’t have 2 hours to get ready,…

Review: Pixi H20 Skin Tint

Summer is the time to go light on any sort of foundation, it just melts off and you end up looking caked. I originally bought this product because I’m constantly going from my house to my ex-boyfriends (yes we broke up) and I try to avoid carrying twice the product if I can get a two in one. I figured this would be a great way of getting some moisture and some coverage without feeling like I needed a BeautyBlender to apply it. This product might not be for you, depending on the coverage you’re looking for. The Promise: As per Pixi by Petra this product is a “Water-based tinted face gel that evens out…

Review: Pixi Peel & Polish!

When I was younger I learned that exfoliating your skin could help with acne, naturally I became obsessed. Who wouldn’t want to remove a layer of their skin for the greater good. So when I discovered this product I became quite interested. It’s basically a gentler at home peel. But how did it perform?   The Promise: Ok ! So according to Pixi by Petra  “This radiance revealing enzyme peel resurfaces for smoother, softer skin, and a healthy looking glow, […] Natural fruit enzymes loosen dead skins cells, lactic acid gently exfoliates, cellulose peels & sugar extracts polishes, lifting away dullness revealing brighter skin”  Sounds pretty intense tbh. Results: When applying a new product the first couple things…

It’s Friday and if you’re staying in, a girls night is always a welcome idea. Treating yo’ self, and having a good night with some good girlfriends is sometimes just what the doctor ordered.
