Screen Time !

I love writing; I love being able to read the words someone deliberately has chosen to express themselves. It feels like an open door into their thoughts. Their brain: an open office, filing through their opinions and desires. But here’s the thing… someone’s thoughts don’t always fully express their enthusiasm. You can paint a picture of what you experience and see but it’s always different when you see it with your own two eyes. Imagining is nice but seeing can be better. Everyone’s different and those who are visual learners and prefer to see rather than read would probably prefer some good old videos! Screen time baby, I have started a YouTube channel. It feels…

The Butler: Moving and Thoughtful

I don’t watch movies very often, I find them quite long and my body really hates sitting for such an extended period of time. However my mother really loves watching movies, especially of the historical variety; she’s whom I get my love of history from. Recently, we popped into a little beat down store with a ton of dvd’s for sale, we ended up picking up about a dozen new movies. One of the movies we purchased was Lee Daniels The Butler. I was excited to watch this movie as it’s biographical and thus based on real life events. If begins with Cecil Gaines, a black man and the protagonist, growing up and working the…

Shoutout to Beauty Vloggers!

Today I’ve been testing some beauty products! But it has been SO frustrating! You’re probably wondering why something that should be so fun has been so disheartening, so let me tell you. I have tried a million times and failed, tried some more and failed. On my old blog I used to take photos of me testing lipsticks and I never remember it being this difficult. You know when you say a word over and over again and it loses its meaning, that was sort of…

I make these lists about things I want to better research, things I want to learn about, and information I want to share with others. Recently I came across the name Norman Parkinson, and in the spirit of learning a little more here’s some information I’ve found to share with you. This is a concise biography about him and some of his work. Born in 1913 in London Educated in Westminster School; he began his career as a photographer for the courts….

Must see movies , my picks

So it is freezing cold, most of the big cities have been hit with a great deal of frost and snow. I recommend if you have the option, to stay home. However, even if you can’t stay home during the day, this list will provide you with some great watching material. I love movies, but sometimes i get quite restless whilst watching. So here is a list of movies, cliche or not, that I have enjoyed for one reason or another. Note I am open to watching all genres of movies, so if you have something in mind, suggest it ! 1. Almost Famous I could watch this movie on repeat. From the incredible soundtrack to…

I’m quite tired. I had my appendix removed about a month ago and i’ve had a billion small annoying complications. it really sucks. I’ve been so tired, i swear all i do is eat and sleep. i ate 4 bags of mini popcorn tonight. i’m not really ashamed as i should be. As i ate said four bags i watched The Royal Tenenbaums; one of my favourite movies. Ben Stiller is amazing, as I get older he gets more handsome. Not really sure what this post is supposed to be about, I watched this movie called Ask Me Anything with Britt Robertson. In it she does loads of blogging and well it made me miss…
