The first time I went to Coachella I wasn’t really sure what to do or bring. I had a series of outfits I was pretty sure I’d wear and cosmetics I was thinking I’d use. While I did use some items, there are certain things I would have done differently, these are the changes or products I would bring with me this time.
A Few Things To Consider
1.Eyelashes: When it’s hot and you’re sweaty the last thing you’ll want to worry about is whether or not your makeup is staying in place. Eyelash extensions are a great way to prevent that melting face look while still giving you the dramatic eye you crave. Waterproof, sun proof, life proof, have a good quality pair applied and you will be so glad you don’t have to worry about mascara.
2.Self Tanner: I was so pale Year 1 at Coachella, I was neon. Luckily I was quite religious with the SPF and I didn’t suffer a burn, only some light tanning, but I sort of wish I had had that California glow about me. Self-tanner is a great way to stay out of the sun while still giving your skin some colour. There are so many great brands but in a pinch, when I want to darken a few shades, I reach for St Tropez.
3.Multi-Use Stains: You won’t want to lug around a bunch of products with you during the day so I recommend sticking with products that can be used in different ways. A lip/face stain is a great product to use on your eyes, lips, and cheeks. A longtime cult classic is Benefits Gogo Tint and Posie Tint.
4. Waterproof Makeup: Waterproof is the way to go if you don’t want your makeup moving. Stick with products like Glossier Plays’ Colourslide Liners and Too Faced’s’ Waterproof Better Than Sex Mascara. These products will last throughout the entire day, and they’re low on fuss.
5. A Little Sparkle: A little sparkle goes a long way. Think products like Fenty’s Body Lava and Bodyographys Glitter Pigments. These products will literally make you sparkle and shine, you will catch the light in any angle and your photos will be mesmerizing.
6.SPF BABY: It is so important to wear sunscreen. I saw so many burnt babes at Coachella and boy did I feel for them. If you’re going to be in the sun for a few days the last thing you want is to burn on day 1, it will ruin the rest of your trip. Look for products that have at least SPF 30, It’s important to protect that beautiful skin.
These are just a few items I would consider bringing with me if I were to do it all over again. If you’re going or are thinking of going in the future I hope this article has helped you brainstorm the kinds of products you should bring.
Most of all have fun & be safe.
